Outputs
Alongside a complimentary stream of work funded by an ESRC IAA grant, Swansea University and Twisted Orange have worked with biosciences partners to understand how consumer psychology can be incorporated into the food innovation journey. AIRES forms one methodology by which they can do this, and the project team worked with a team on OIRC Diet and Health Innovation: Early Stage Feasibility project bids that incorporated AIRES and were awarded one project which commenced on October 1st 2024.
The AIRES methodology will be adapted for use with children as part of the Consumer Lab Hub Business Interaction Voucher with Swig Smoothies (see BLEND: Smart Blending Options for Children’s Health and Nutrition in awarded projects 2024)
The partnership with Twisted Orange continues in the longer term and the joint endeavour is now called ‘Kaleidoscope’, which has been developed in conjunction with current projects via a UKRI Catalyst Grant and are now developing commercialisation approaches.
Following on from the Catalyst grant, AIRES was a key feature in the PIs application for the next stage of the program, the UKRI Zinc Accelerator.
